How to keep quality levels high
Systems may be chosen based on the requirements of the Archive: it is well-known that when one video tape is transferred to another, the quality of the image is penalized and this process increases progressively over the generations. This is mainly typical of all analogical systems and to a lesser degree of digital systems. On the contrary, using devices for preserving data, they may be imported back to computers for later use without penalizing resolution. This operation would be useful whenever customers change their minds regarding assembly, editing or graphics. It is sure that in all these cases, each copy will have the same quality as the original. This method further provides the availability of transferring restored video images onto cinematographic film.
